Patient report Jochen

2025-10-06

After my e-bike accident in 2022, I had incomplete paraplegia at C3/C4 level. That was a shock and completely changed my life. Thanks to the therapies, my diagnosis has since been revised to C5-C7 - an important step forward for me. I was particularly interested in transcutaneous muscle stimulation right from the start. I started my therapy at tech2people in May 2023.

My course of therapy

In the beginning, I trained with the Lokomat. I then added the exoskeleton, but that was difficult at first because I still had too many spasms. Step by step, however, things improved and I was able to move on from one device to the next. Today I also train with the C-Mill, Hirob and the Rysen.

I particularly like the Hirob because it strengthens my core stability. My goal is to get back on a horse and do hippotherapy. I like the Rysen because I can do walking exercises there that wouldn't be possible without safety. I used to have blockages in my head during some exercises, but the safety of the Rysen allows me to loosen up. My tone is getting less, the spasticity is decreasing. My wheelchair is now unused in the basement.

What I like about tech2people

What makes the difference for me at tech2people is the variety and the system behind it. I work with different therapists in every session, which means I always get new input. The atmosphere is modern and pleasant - not at all like a hospital.

I feel that there is a lot of expertise here and that everything is scientifically sound. My progress is documented, my pulse and values are measured and I receive regular feedback. I also appreciate the range: everything is covered, from occupational therapy to physiotherapy. And the therapists are not only competent, but also very empathetic.

For me, constant dripping wears away the stone. Regularity and frequency are crucial - and that's exactly what I get here.
